After nine years of existence the Czech National Contact Centre for Women in Science (NKC) is launching an English newsletter. By creating this newsletter we wish to provide you with information about developments in the field of gender and science in the Czech Republic, share some of the experience we have battling gender stereotypes and discrimination in science, and build ground for possible future cooperation.

We are looking for "Women Inspiring Europe"

On 8th March 2010, EIGE announced the launch of an ongoing activity; the creation of its future "Women of Europe" resource pool. This resource pool will contain information about women from all over Europe who could act as role-models, and as a source of inspiration for others. The resource pool will be used by EIGE and its stakeholders in search of realistic evidence of success in the form of testimonials, expert or speaker interventions. Over time as the activity gains momentum, the 'Women of Europe' resource pool will become an integral part of the Institute's resource centre pooling experience and bringing recognition to their achievements.
